Mumbai Influencer Faizan Ansari Seeks Custody of Muskan Rastogi’s 10-Month-Old Daughter
Mumbai influencer Faizan Ansari has approached the Meerut district court seeking to adopt or care for Muskan Rastogi’s 10-month-old daughter Radha, who has been living with her mother in jail since birth.
Muskan Rastogi is currently in jail and has been accused of murdering her husband, Saurabh Rajput, with the help of her lover. Ansari has applied to adopt Radha, who was born while her mother was in prison. He said he wants the child to grow up in a better environment, away from the difficulties associated with prison life.
The application comes amid growing concerns about Radha’s future and who will take responsibility for her care. A Meerut court sentenced Muskan Rastogi and her lover, Sahil Shukla, to death in connection with the case.
What Did Mumbai Influencer Faizan Ansari Say?
Explaining his decision, Ansari said he wants Radha to have a stable and secure childhood without being adversely affected by her mother’s imprisonment. He clarified that his intention is neither to interfere with Muskan’s sentence nor to obstruct the legal proceedings.
Instead, he wants to take responsibility for the child’s upbringing to help secure a better future for her. Ansari also denied that his decision was motivated by publicity or a desire to gain online views. He maintained that his move was driven entirely by concern for the child.
To support his request, Ansari has also submitted details of his financial position to the court.
10-Month-Old Radha’s Future Hangs in the Balance
On October 14, Muskan Rastogi was sentenced to death in Meerut in the Blue Drum murder case for the killing of her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer. Following the development, concerns about the future of their 10-month-old daughter, Radha, have intensified.
Radha was born on November 24, 2025, at a medical college in Meerut. After delivery, she was taken back to the district jail with her mother. The jail administration has said that no changes will be made to the child’s current living arrangements for the time being.
Radha Has Been Living With Her Mother in Meerut District Jail Since Birth
Since her birth, Radha has been living with Muskan at Meerut District Jail. Under prison rules, children can stay with their incarcerated mothers until they turn six years old. Consequently, no immediate change to Radha’s existing living arrangements is expected.
Ansari’s application has brought renewed attention to the question of who will care for the infant and what arrangements will be made for her upbringing. The court’s consideration of his request will be central to determining whether his willingness to assume responsibility for Radha can translate into a change in her care arrangements.
